I am a San Francisco Bay area music producer, recording artist, and journalist with over 30 years experience writing arts and media reviews for nationally published magazines and more recently world-wide on the internet. I’ve been the music editor for the Los Angeles-based Awareness Magazine for the past 7 years as well as a free lance journalist/ publicist, and editor of Music and Media Focus.
As a music industry professional, I currently belong to The Recording Academy and am a voting member of The GRAMMY’S.

As a recording artist I have 5 CD’s of ambient music with elements of electronic, jazz, and rock. My previous release, “Indigo Moon“, features a guest appearance by Jefferson Starship and Rod Stewart keyboardist, Pete Sears. Also appearing as a special guest is new age music pioneer Steven Halpen, whose record label distributes this album, as well as my first release, “Atlantis Rising,” which was named by CD Baby as “one of the best new releases of the year“.
Along with studio recording and producing projects for other artists, I perform doing electronic music and 
multi-media shows in addition to playing synthesizers and electric guitar in SF Bay area bands.
I also produce music videos, such as the ones for Ambient Alchemy below, as well as creating soundtracks for video, guided imagery, etc.

Music and Media Focus 
Great music! Please keep me posted!
Dear Friends in the Music Community, I am deeply sorry to report that on Friday 12/16, our friend and colleague Michael Diamond suffered a severe stroke. It appears to be related to complications following surgery to remove a benign growth from his neck. Michael is currently in intensive care, and according to his sister, likely to be incapacitated for quite some time. Needless to say, all current music, writing or design projects that Michael has been involved are now on hold for the indefinite future. Michael’s sister has asked me to post this information publicly so those of you who might be working on things with him will know that his life has taken this sudden, sad and unexpected turn, and he will not be able to get in touch with you for the time being. Also, Michael’s sister’s priority must be the immediate care of her brother, so I don’t think she’ll have much time for our calls or emails. I will do my best to find a way to post updates as events unfold. Currently things are quite raw and fresh. I only want to post things that I know to be true, and needless to say, information is probably going to be slow in coming. Michael has been an articulate, creative and compassionate voice in our corner of the music world, and I am grateful to consider him a friend. He has been there for us with both his words and his music. Now, through our prayers, positive thoughts and good vibes, it is so important that we do our best to be there for him. I am unable to post a new message on Michael’s FB page, so I am posting this within an established thread. I’ll do my best to answer any PMs you might send my way, but right now my plan is to just keep updating here as I receive new information. When you read this, please take a moment and say his name aloud with focus and purpose, and with the intent of seeing him emerge from this challenge – healthy, mobile, writing about and making the music he loves, and surrounded by the people who love him and in turn are loved by him.
