TV broadcast: The Oprah Winfrey Show finale – 5/25/11


After 25 years – a remarkable achievement in the television industry, and 4561 shows, of which she has never missed a single one, the stage lights dimmed for the final time on the massively successful and influential The Oprah Winfrey Show. Although I can’t say that I’ve been a loyal fan of the show or that I’ve watched it regularly, I can say that I have tremendous respect and admiration for Oprah and her efforts over this past quarter of a century to shine a light on meaningful issues such as personal growth, spirituality, health and healing, social injustice, and so much more.
